The Installing Officer was Greg Baker, Department of Illinois Commandant.   He spoke to the crowd of over 60 about the dedication and commitment this Detachment has given not only to the Department but National and Kennel.

The following were the new Officers sworn in:

The Detachment decided to raffle off a custom weapon this year, a Henry Golden Boy specifically engraved with the MCL and USMC logos as well as the Iwo Jima Flag Raising on the stock and the Detachment name on the handgrip.  This was done by Historical Armory of Denver Colorado.  Four members also purchased their own engraved Henry Big Boy 357 Magnum at a reduced price as part of the order, and the rifles were spectacular!  The winner of the Golden Boy was Leonard Jenkins of Maryville IL.  Anthony Imperato, President of Henry Repeating Arms, also donated a Henry fluorescent wall clock (a $300 value) to the Detachment as a raffle prize.  The clock was won by Dan Betts and presented to the very happy incoming Commandant, Ron Burns. Sr.  Various other items were raffled and a 50/50 raffle prize was won by Jim Blankenship.
